Important Notice

Don’t be ashamed to be yourself. Don’t try and be someone else, don’t try and change yourself for someone... cos the right people? Will like you for you. No one will like you if you act happy all the time, you don’t have any problems, and life is 110% stress free.
Be open. Have an open mindset, let down your walls, and let people know who you are. It’s scary - but its worth it. They’ll either love you, or hate you... but the thing that matters most is that you’re your true self.
Be you. Be true....just be yourself, and I promise you!!! You will get SO far!
Do not fake being someone else - you’ll feel like you always have to be that “person” all the time in order for people to like you... just be YOU! m
Love you all.
Take care.
You matter, and remember to smile; even if you cant — it’ll make you happier!!

Story Time!!!

Yes I know I haven’t posted one in awhile
This will be a personal story time.
I don’t really know who reads all this far orr nott, but!
Lately I’ve been feelin pretty anxious and worried about my dad and his job... he’s off now (with pay, thankfully) until he finds a new place to help build... whether that be far away, or closeby, I just personally want him to be happy. He’s not used to being at home - and him being home with me is - lol - pretty weird... I think he’s going bored out of his mind already.. not too sure!
I don’t really talk much to my dad, nor does he talk a lot to me... but like I know he obviously cares, and loves me. — is every dad like that? Not really talkative?! lol —
Anywho! I just hope he’s proud of me, and that he gets a job closeby to where we live...
Hah, thanks for reading this lil “story” ... I guess I should just put it as “Coolin’s Thoughts” for today !
I appreciate your time.

Loop Insights ($MTRX) is on a fast-track to growth as they drive AI automated marketing, venue bubble solutions and contract tracing

What does Loop do?
Loop Insights Inc (CVE:MTRX) is an Internet of Things (IoT) technology company that combines artificial intelligence (AI) with marketing automation. Loop is a Vancouver-based advanced technology company also delivers venue tracing and contactless solutions.
Loop’s unique IoT device, referred to as the "Fobi" provides real-time insights, analytics, and visibility into buying trends. It also provides real-time data applications that enable retailers to improve on operational efficiencies with automated supply chain and inventory management tools. Loop offers digital adverting, marketing, research, and other related activities for retailers.
The company’s location-based marketing intelligence platform provides brands, agencies, and retailers with real-time actionable insights to optimize customer experiences.
Loop operates in the telecom, casino gaming, sports and entertainment, hospitality, and retail industries, in Canada, the US, the UK, Latin America, Australia, Japan, and Indonesia.
How are they doing:
It has been a busy spell for Loop which is seeing rapid growth in terms of its technology stack, customer acquisitions, Tier-1 partnerships, technology deployments, and most importantly, the growth of its sales pipeline.
In January, Loop partnered with Empower Clinics Inc. to establish the Re-open Vancouver coalition to obtain an approved end-to-end coronavirus (COVID-19) mitigation solution. The firms plan to present the solution to local and federal authorities to help in the re-opening of Vancouver’s travel industry, including the cruise industry.
Loop first partnered with Empower in October 2020 to provide an end-to-end COVID-19 mitigation solution, complete with venue tracing, real-time automated guest exposure notifications, and testing procedures based on published guidelines.
Loop will also showcase its venue management platform as it has been selected by bdG Sports to handle the Paiute Las Vegas Championship, golf tournament starting on April 12, 2021. The event is part of the Korn Ferry Tour, which acts as the developmental circuit for the US PGA Tour. Loop will utilize its Wallet Pass technology, which creates a direct communication channel with attendees, allowing the company to send personalized promotions to users’ mobile phones in partnership with tournament partners, including sponsors, brands, merchants, and retailers.
As a result, Loop will earn revenue from an event license fee, as well as per-user fees for everyone involved in the event, such as staff, officials, players, fans and media. The company will also earn money from an affiliate marketing deal with Impact Radius signed in November. The company has earned repeat business from bdG Sports.
Loop will also provide its venue management platform to the Big West Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships on March 9-13 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. A total of 19 NCAA basketball teams will compete in the Big West Conference Finals for a chance to enter the NCAA 2020-2021 “March Madness” Tournament in Las Vegas.
Loop’s selection by bdG Sports for the Big West Conference Championships follows the success of its venue bubble solution at two previous NCAA basketball tournaments — the Gulf Coast Showcase and the Vegas Main Event. With fans expected to be live in attendance, the company said its Wallet pass technology will provide revenue-sharing opportunities.
Meanwhile, Loop has integrated cryptocurrency payments like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin into its contactless payments platform. Fobi creates a unique QR code that can be displayed or printed, allowing customers to send payments through a mobile wallet app that supports cryptocurrencies. The platform communicates with the retailer, depositing the sum in either crypto or local FIAT currency. Customers can use a cryptocurrency of their choice.
Loop’s international expansion is snowballing. It has inked a pilot agreement with PharmAssist Solutions (Pharmassist) to implement Loop’s analytics platform in multiple independent pharmacy affiliated locations. After completing the pilot, both parties intend to implement Loop’s AI-driven analytics platform across 12,000 pharmacies in the UK.
On November 4, 2020, Loop said it completed a similar pilot at 20 stores and was rolling out its AI-driven analytics platform to all 550 retail locations of Your CBD Store. The company's “Insights” pricing model estimated making US$50 per month per till, with an average of four tills per retail location, which would equate to potential monthly recurring revenue of US$2.4 million or US$28.8 million.
The company chalked up the Pharmassist pilot deal to the signing of a referral agreement in October last year with retail industry guru Steve Gray’s UK-based SG-retail to bolster Loop's products in the UK and Europe. Loop has also gained traction in the US by signing a slew of deals, and Gray will tap the momentum to roll Loop’s products and services into the €3.55 trillion European market.
Loop has recently inked a letter of intent to acquire its technology partner Passcreator, a leading European digital wallet and mobile marketing company with Tier-1 clients such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW. The acquisition is likely to be completed by February 2021. Loop is now managing the development of Passcreator’s Wallet Pass platform, which can deploy rapidly and at scale in up to 40 languages. The Passcreator mobile wallet pass is built on Android and iOS Wallet pass technology.
Meanwhile, Loop has successfully launched its first “Film Bubble” for a major motion picture in partnership agreement with Draganfly Inc.
Loop told shareholders in December that it is “extremely confident” about replicating the growth it saw last year with a full pipeline of projects. Key highlights include the firm’s selection to the Amazon Web Services Partner Network, the Telus IoT Marketplace, and a major partnership with NTT DATA, a subsidiary of the world’s fourth-largest telecom company Nippon Telegraph and Telephone.
Significantly, Loop received around $4.6 million from the exercise of warrants up to December 10, 2020. The company said it does not foresee the need for financing apart from strategic client partners that may want to invest in Loop’s growth.
The company’s board has approved a plan to begin the process of up-listing to major North American stock exchanges. The plan includes an application to up-list to the Toronto Stock Exchange, followed by an application to dual-list on the US technology-laden Nasdaq.
In a recent letter to shareholders, CEO Rob Anson said: “Loop had an incredible year in 2020, and more importantly, is positioned with the right partners, products, pipeline, and financial resources to make the same quantum leap in 2021.”
CEO Rob Anson also went on to add “As a result of our immutable relevancy, high demand for Loop’s products, pipeline growth, and ability to easily scale into a global marketplace that is in full press digital transformation, we expect a continued accelerated pace that now warrants an up-list and dual list strategy that will attract institutional investors commensurate with our anticipated profile in 2021 and far beyond".

A Canadian millionaire and his wife could face up to six months in jail after they were caught posing as motel workers to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from a mobile clinic, according to reports.
Casino owner Rodney Baker, 55, and his wife, Ekaterina, 32, flew from Vancouver to Beaver Creek, home to mostly Indigenous people who live in smaller populations. Individuals in the Yukon Territory, where Beaver Creek is located, do not need identification to get vaccinated.
The couple were discovered for their alleged fraud after receiving the injections and then asking to immediately be flown home, according to the BBC. Locals checked the motel where the couple claimed to work and discovered they did not work there.
The couple was fined $2,300 Canadian ($1,800 U.S.) for breaching coronavirus rules, but community elders have demanded a tougher penalty.
Courts ordered a hold on the couple’s airplane tickets home and for the Bakers to appear in court. If found guilty, the couple could face up to six months in jail, The Guardian reported.
"I am outraged by this selfish behavior," Yukon's Community Services Minister John Streicker said. "We had not been imagining that someone would go to this sort of length to mislead or deceive."

The Bakers have already been charged with failing to self-isolate for 14 days after travel and violating Yukon’s Civil Emergency Measures Act.
They are due to appear in court on May 4.

Dont know how to go or how to even proceed. Can you help?

Hi everyone,
I have done my bachelors in India is mass media and later a diploma in Digital Arts and New Media in canada. that was about 6 years ago. For my immigration/ permanent residency I had to move away from the digital industry and go into customer service/casino entertainment where i was doing good including getting promoted but not being what i wanted to do or set out to achieve, I quit and moved to Vancouver after getting my Pr (3 yrs ago) in order of finding work but not being able to network due to being an introvert/scared i never really was able to as i learned applying on indeed /glassdoor hast really got me anywhere. I had taken a delivery job at a pizza place which had sucked the life out of me in 2 years. I ended up quiting my job 1 year ago due to having a breakdown at work (manager was being very pushy for a few months wanting to get me promoted even though i didnt want to and was being forced to take unwanted pressure or make decisions which were not really possible while i was driving.. sorry short rant lol.. and internally i was already killing myself for not able to secure something or even make connections with people with similar interests) , covid and unemployment both kind of destroyed my mental state more, and till now i am still unemployed and keep going in more financial debt and my confidence dosnt even exist. Seeing the way things are i need to pick myself up and very very soon. Working on it!
I want to start working again but I want to utilize my Degree and Diploma and not just go back into a dead end job/customer service. I want a job where i can use some of the skills i have learned and I want to develop them more. I truly enjoy doing stuff/trouble finding/happy accidents with after effects/ editing with premiere /3ding with blende drawing/texturing with photoshop and lately been messing with unity for fun... I truly enjoy computer graphics, want to get better at it but if not something which can help start leading towards something where i can use the skills. Every where i search for jobs with these, they all seem to require experience which is a very big demotivator and i dont seem to find any entry level jobs or more for an enthusist who wants to just learn and grow in a company. I am ok with any industry where i can develop and use my skills but dont know which all exist or if there are hidden jobs out i can find to make/start a career in design/cg

Just curious. Ekaterina Baker has been active for what looks like two years, doing mainly small stuff (although from her IMDb bio she appears to have ambitious aspirations). Curious whether she gets dropped from her agency or is able to find representation/work after this. Any thoughts?

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 14, 2020, a provider of contactless solutions and artificial intelligence ("AI") to drive real-time insights, enhanced customer engagement, and automated venue tracing to the brick and mortar space, is pleased to announce the successful launch of its first “Film Bubble” for a major motion picture (“MMP1”) that is scheduled to commence filming in January 2021. The name of the film and the starring actors will remain confidential until the commencement of filming.
The launch of the Film Bubble for MMP1 is the result of a partnership agreement with Draganfly Inc (DFLY:CSE). FILM AND TV STUDIOS SEEK FAST AND RELIABLE TESTING SOLUTIONS TO RESUME SAFE OPERATIONS AND MITIGATE BILLIONS IN LOSSES
Total earnings at the North American box office in 2019 amounted to $USD 11.32 billion according to Statista.com. In January 2020, the U.S. motion picture and sound recording industry employed over 456 thousand people, with several hundred thousand more in Canada, the U.K., and around the world.
As a result of production closures and cinema shutdowns related to COVID-19, the majority of the industry's revenues and jobs have been temporarily lost and are now at significant risk of long-term damage if the industry is unable to find solutions that can provide for the safe resumption of operations.
Specifically, the global entertainment industry is projected to lose a staggering $160 billion of growth over the next five years, according to research firm Ampere Analysis.
On November 2nd, AMC Theatres announced a 91% drop in revenues during the most recent earnings period, with losses hitting $906 million in just this quarter.

Charles North (October 12, 1923 - October 19, 2020)

CHARLES ZELFORD NORTH
October 12, 1923 - October 19, 2020
Charles Zelford North passed away on Oct. 19, 2020, one week after his 97th birthday, in Kalama, WA, surrounded by his loving children. He is now reunited in heaven with the love his life, Shirley, his wife of 65 years.
Charles was born at home in Selmer, TN, to Carlos and Dola North. His mother passed away when he was 12 years old and his grandpa and grandma raised him and his siblings. It was a hard life and they didn’t have much money, but they always had food on the table provided by the land they worked and the animals they raised. He had a lot of great memories from those simple times.
After graduating from Michie High School in McNary County, TN, in 1942, he joined the US Coast Guard Reserve. World War II was in full swing and he was soon deployed to active duty status with the US Navy. He was at sea until the end of the war in 1945.
A few years later he met his beautiful wife while working at a warehouse. They married after a short courtship and had four children. In the early 1960s, jobs were scarce in the South and, with some coaxing from his brother, who had moved to Portland, OR, he packed the family and whatever else he could fit in the car and moved to the Pacific NW. His brother (Howard) and family took us all in until dad could find work and housing.
He soon landed a job with Pacific Power & Light working on the line crew. A few years later, we welcomed our little brother, Chris, into the world. He worked in Cougar, WA, where he became a hydroelectric operator at Swift Creek Dam. He retired from PP&L in 1988.
Our dad was a true southern gentleman until the very end. We will miss his stories, his kindness, his love for casinos and chocolate. But, most of all we will miss his love and devotion to our family.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, Dan; two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his children, Tom (Cheryl), Teresa Frick (Tom), Cecelia Blodgette (Bob) and Chris (Julia); nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E. 12th St., Vancouver, WA 98660 on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020, from 5-7 p.m. for those that want to pay their respects. Masks are required.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private family only service, on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020.

Bonnie Smith (October 7, 1930 - May 8, 2020)

BONNIE NELL SMITH
October 7, 1930 - May 8, 2020
Bonnie was born in Casa Grande, AZ on Oct. 7, 1930 to Dorothy W. and Walter F. Hiett. She was one of seven children. Bonnie passed away May 8, 2020 in her Vancouver, WA home with daughter, Polly; sister, Dorothy; niece, Donna; and family friend, Darlene by her side.
Her father worked on numerous dams in different states, so she lived in Las Vegas, NV; Baker, OR (now Baker City); and Oregon City, OR, where she graduated in 1949. The family then moved to Vancouver where she lived the remainder of her life.
She married Hallie (Lucky) Ross Smith and had one daughter, Bonnie Pauline Smith (Polly). Lucky preceded her in death in 1960.
Bonnie went to Clark College where she graduated as an LPN. She was in the first class of RNs graduating a few years later. She worked with some of her instructors, at their request, in several hospitals in Vancouver, Kaiser hospital, VA and the County.
Bonnie also worked as a charge nurse in several nursing homes in Vancouver. She worked for the same owners at Highland Terrace in Camas and in Goldendale, WA.
After semi-retiring, she and Polly started Polly’s Country Adult Family Home where she continued to be involved for 30 years until the day of her passing.
She was well respected by all community members who met her, from doctors that she worked with, to patients and families, as well as other adult family home members. Bonnie was Caregiver of the Year for the Adult Family Home Association.
She will be missed so much especially by her daughter, Polly; dogs, Ginger and Calvin; and cat, Sweetie Pie, who passed away shortly after Bonnie.
She loved painting and won awards starting at age 12. She was a collector of Native American items as she was part Cherokee Indian.
Bonnie loved road trips; she traveled with her mother and Polly all over the United States to visit with family. She cruised the world with Polly and friends. Polly and Bonnie visited Russia and wanted to go back.
Bonnie enjoyed casinos, especially when she won! She loved flying aerobatics; and she was her daughter’s first and last passenger. Bonnie got Polly interested in flying when Polly was 12. Bonnie was going to skydive on her 90th birthday this October. She loved swimming across the Willamette River in Oregon City. She also loved working in her yard.
She loved everyone and loved entertaining. She would have large gatherings for as many as 40 friends and family for holiday dinners in which she did all the cooking. She was very meticulous in everything she did.
Bonnie is survived by Polly; sister, Dorothy Taylor; and brother, Bill Hiett and nieces.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Wade (Floyd), John and James Hiett; and sister, Mary Thompson.
There were no services due to COVID-19, but there will be a celebration of her life on Oct. 10 at Polly’s Country AFH, 19108 NE 18th St., Vancouver, WA. If restrictions are lifted, there will be another announcement closer to this time.

Interesting WSJ article that many here can relate to...

With Biotech Stocks, Investors Love the Thrill of the ChaseDOW JONES & COMPANY, INC. - 08/05/2020
By Gregory Zuckerman and Michael Wursthorn
Eric Distenfeld is rolling the dice on CytoDyn Inc. (CYDY)
Last month, the real-estate executive bought 1,000 shares of the unheralded biotech company, which hopes to discover a Covid-19 drug.
Now, he spends the day tracking shares, checking news and debating friends whether CytoDyn (CYDY) can overcome the odds. Mr. Distenfeld leaves most of his stocks alone. When it comes to CytoDyn (CYDY), he is obsessive.
"It's like being in Vegas without the hangover," says Mr. Distenfeld, 40 years old, a former portfolio manager who lives in Teaneck, N.J.
Few stocks have captured investors' affections lately like biotech companies chasing coronavirus advances. Stocks such as Moderna Inc. and Novavax Inc. have soared, but so too have tiny ones a long way from an approved U.S. vaccine or treatment, including CytoDyn (CYDY), Equillium Inc. and Humanigen Inc., all of which are up between 207% and 944% this year, thanks in large part to the fervor of individual investors.
Their passion stems from the promise of medical advances that can send shares surging. Small biotechs constantly need financing, so executives tend to be more comfortable promoting themselves, efforts that also can hook investors.
"People tend to fall in love with biotech companies," says health-care investor Brad Loncar at Loncar Investments. "There's an emotional aspect given that it is medical-related and then, because the stocks are so volatile, like a casino, it adds fuel to the fire on both sides."
For every investor playing biotech stocks for fun and profit, another, like Tom Yarborough, has an unshakable conviction these companies are nearing historic breakthroughs.
"They have so many potential cures," says Mr. Yarborough, a 74-year-old retired stockbroker in Cape Canaveral, Fla., referring to the range of diseases CytoDyn's (CYDY) key drug, leronlimab, might address. "There are 59 different possibilities that it could cure, including Covid."
The love for risky biotech shares isn't unrequited. Mr. Yarborough has made over $100,000 from his CytoDyn (CYDY) shares. He had 110,000 shares at one point, but sold some over the years. He still holds 27,000 -- worth about $136,890 -- spread across investment accounts held by him and his family. The Vancouver, Wash.-based company, which closed at $5.07 on Tuesday, has climbed more than 1,000% since Mr. Yarborough bought shares four years ago.
"It's my only position," says Mr. Yarborough. "I'll always own shares; my commitment, my loyalty is there."
CytoDyn's (CYDY) valuation ballooned to more than $4.5 billion in May from just over $100 million last year, after the Food and Drug Administration greenlighted the use of leronlimab for Covid-19 patients in emergency situations and clinical trials.
Montefiore Health System in the Bronx, N.Y., is evaluating the drug for Covid-19 in two separate trials; results are expected soon, says Dr. Harish Seethamraju, Montefiore's medical director of lung transplantation.
Leronlimab's mechanism of action, or how it is supposed to work, makes sense to CytoDyn (CYDY) fans. Leronlimab aims to block a receptor that causes cytokine storms, severe immune-system reactions that inflame and fatally damage lungs and other organs of some Covid-19 patients.
Some investors, like Judah Kraut, 41, are doing more than rooting for CytoDyn (CYDY). He is searching out doctors with experience with leronlimab and sharing the results with friends, though he recognizes what he is finding are just anecdotal reactions.
"I know of 19 people who have invested because of me, so I'm a little nervous about that," says Mr. Kraut, who lives in New York City and is finishing a Ph.D. in ancient Near Eastern literature at the University of Pennsylvania. " But the theory it's a scam would require doctors with impeccable credentials to be in on it; that would be mind- boggling."
There are warning signs, though. Most experts don't give CytoDyn (CYDY) much chance of success. The company hasn't made any money other than what it pulls in from stock sales. It has been seeking FDA approval for leronlimab to combat HIV and about two dozen types of cancers over the better half of a decade.
Its chief executive, Nader Pourhassan, promotes his company in news releases, articles and videos paid for by the company. In late April, he appeared in a sponsored video claiming that almost 95% or 100% of patients who had Covid-19 and were treated with leronlimab survived testing. Within the same video, he clarified that his figures included 28 patients across the country -- not the 11 others who also received the drug in New York, some of whom died.
"That's a spectacular result, and we wanted to make sure everybody knows that," Mr. Pourhassan said in the YouTube video posted by Proactiveinvestors.com, a platform that charges companies $25,000 a year to run promotional content. CytoDyn's (CYDY) shares rose nearly 8% that day.
A CytoDyn (CYDY) presentation shared with The Wall Street Journal showed seven of the patients in New York had died as of mid-May. In a broader study across the country of 34 patients, five patients had died and 15 were said to have improved.
"I'm giving information as honestly as possible. When it changes, I give that," Mr. Pourhassan said of his interactions with investors.
On April 27, CytoDyn (CYDY) said it had submitted a drug marketing application to the FDA, sending shares up another 17%. But the company said in subsequent news releases that the submission included mock data sets and wouldn't be considered complete until it provided clinical data on May 11. The FDA ultimately refused to grant the license in July, sparking criticism from some investors toward the company during a conference call several days later.
Mr. Pourhassan said the FDA requested CytoDyn (CYDY) make those additional statements after determining the application was incomplete.
Last week, a YouTube video titled "A Drug You Can Invest In and Simultaneously Save the World" featured testimonials, including one by actor Charlie Sheen, who said that he has enrolled in a trial for leronlimab, which also is being studied to treat HIV infection, and that he "felt great."
A representative for Mr. Sheen said he wasn't compensated for his appearance.
In April, Mr. Pourhassan sold 4.8 million shares of his company for $15.7 million, according to securities filings. Mr. Pourhassan, who has a doctorate in mechanical engineering, once faced federal charges over allegedly selling fake Native American goods. The charges were dropped. He said the charges had no merit.
As for the stock sale, he said, "I've been waiting all these years, I might as well have some security for myself."
Richard Trauger, who worked at CytoDyn (CYDY) between 2011 and mid-2013 and served as its chief science officer, says he witnessed Mr. Pourhassan exaggerate claims during interactions with investors.
Once, when Mr. Pourhassan was chief operating officer, he told an investor group CytoDyn (CYDY) would have a license from the FDA in two years. Mr. Trauger said he objected to the timeline, drawing the ire of Mr. Pourhassen.
"He went off on me," Mr. Trauger said, adding that Mr. Pourhassan had asked him "if it's possible. 'Of course, anything is possible,' I'd say, but it's not likely. That's all he needed to hear."
"I hope it works," said Mr. Trauger of CytodDyn's drug. "But I haven't seen any data, and that's the problem."
New Jersey investor Mr. Distenfeld is uncomfortable with Mr. Pourhassan's sale of personal stock and his relentless promotion.
But the possibility that CytoDyn (CYDY) might achieve a breakthrough is worth the risk, he says.
"I can make five times my investment and my downside is 80%," Mr. Distenfeld says. "I go to Vegas and play poker against pros which is a losing proposition -- this is more fun and has better odds."

I have friends outside of H.S but not inside. Is that ok?

Im in grade 11. During grades 8-10.5 i had severe tourrettes and had to miss a bunch of inclass schooling due to high amounts of stress and anxiety from my tics. I missed a LOT of school and did assignments in the rescource room or at home. Mid-grade 10 i was able to turn things around and become a full-time student not needing the help of support workers. My training wheels were taken off per say.

Once i started going to classes regularly i was able to start mingling with students in a couple classes that i had already talked too. I would be laughing and joking with them inside of the classroom. But, During breaks i would stand around with the inclass friends but wouldnt make much convo with them. During lunch it would be nearly impossible to locate those friends since my school is MASSIVE and would hang out at my older cousins house a five min walk away. I would always put on a smile and try and be “cool” and “fit-in” but sometimes it would be a bunch of horsesh*t tbh.
Once school would end i would have little to no contact with them. Only one group chat for a class that requires a permanent 4 man group for the year. Do keep in mind that i live in another nearby municipality 10 mins away from my school. If anybodys from Vancouver. School is in south-Van and i live in Richmond near the River Rock Casino. But i still feel like i dont hang out with these friends outside if school.
Now, outside of school, i have a dozen “bros” that were made by our parents being great friends. Weekend bbqs, bday parties, NFL sundays, etc. I love these guys to death. Every weekend theres a function that included at least a couple of them and we’d hang out and watch UFC fights or hockey games together. But, inside of school i feel a little lonely. And during the week nobody from that group is avaliable. So i end up just being by myself. Am i overeacting when seeing other students’ snapchat stories and igs with them hanging out with their school friends? Or is it ok to have my friend group outside of school? This would be advice for the next school year as this year is most likely written off due to COVID-19.

[Counter Response To] THAILAND IS RACISTS BECAUSE FARANG CAN'T BUY LAND and THAIS GET DISCOUNTS AT PARKS.

Thailand is not a Democracy yet I feel more free in the Kingdom than in California.
Another day another thread or comment is posted on reddit about a FARANG talk crap about Thailand. Yet THAILAND has 3 of their cities in "Most Traveled to Cities in the World" Visa did a stats on this and many other sources corroborated. Why is that? Racists? Xenophobe? Rude culture? Then why do people come?
Allow me to play Devil's advocate:
1) FARANG can't buy land not because of racism but because of CAPITALISM. THAILAND PROTECT KING'S LAND for ITS PEOPLE to purchase at affordable price per Rai.
Examples:
Look at California coastal cities to Oregon to Washington to Vancouver BC. Most of THE LANDS ARE OWNED BY MULTI NATIONAL CORPORATIONS BANKERS. It baffles me when citizen of its own country who parents live in the area cannot afford rent where they grew up. Some old ass landlord dude bottleneck the whole zip code innovation from young people by purchasing up all land and making rent more than 50% of young people's income. People work to pay rent rather than live their life doing passion or other services. So many people are now doing "VaN LiFe, LiveLovePrayTraveltoThailand90daysVisaHopsElepahantPants" Young people suffers from: No private property, no care, no sense of belonging at all. So much pressure for young men, so high suicide rates and divorce due to RENT. It's always comes down to roof over your head.
Look at Facebook owner Zuckerberg. He owns half the island in Hawaii.
Look at Jamaica and other islands around it. All resorts own by few rich dudes. People can't access most beaches only one public beach.
Look at Manila. Homeless Citizens everywhere eating PAG PAG aka throw away KFC in trash while landlords gets fat. Same constitution as USA. Facsimile.
Look at Burma, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Rich military men has multiple wives Helicopters for medivac. Regular citizen get snake bit in the field. No BTS. NO SPEED TRAIN. Good luck fighting cobra bite on motor bike for 45 minutes to "Hospital".
10 Families own half Florida land mass.
Al Jazeera UK usually anti Thailand just released in Youtube video praising Thailand Swiztzerland has program sending their elder to Thailand to lives rest of their lives with nuero disease. It's great news but it's kinda funny how they outsource their elder to other country and Switz and Sweden supposed to be best country in the world LOL. Thailand last resort https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7yeiO-UZoM Read the comments how many Switz praise Thai ways of respecting elder.
Look at California. City of Irvine. 4th safest city in United States. 90% own by Irvine Company. It's a big slum lord company with crazy HOA with high tax. You can never own especially with student loan.
Look with San Francisco. You can make 100k per year and live in a shack 3k per month.
You think an average Thai can afford that life style? Western born people even can't afford land in country like the United States land of the FREE so how can Thai? Unless you wanna live in Tornado alley where your life saving can be wiped in 1 shot. Then yes you cann buy a Mcmansion for a 100k.
You yourself will likely pay way more once Thailand becomes democracy. Lands are not gonna be affordable like you think. With outside money, China will swiped right the whole coasts and turn it into Casino like in LAOS, Cambodia and Vancouver Africa. Those videos that FARANG JOE posts on youtube for $200/month BEACH FRONT RENTAL PROPERTY IN PRACHUAP KIRIKHAN etc will be all GONE. It will be like $200 a night bungalo cut out from street with all kind of HOA laws and everything will costs 3 times more due to permit. 30 BAHT street food bowl of BAH MEE MOO DANG from mom and pops shops? Low rent means cheap food. LMAO now 90 BAHT with RENT MARK UP TO GO TO IPO COMPANY WHO JUST ENTERED SP500. Look at USA LANDSCAPE nothing but malls, starbucks, and amazon warehouses. It takes 16 licenses to open a lemonade stand in California. Costs ramification is a lot to an average person. It's not racism at all. Thailand wants Thai to be self reliant and proud business owner. Capitalism kills small businesses Ask Jeff Bayso who during COVID 19 Earnings in first three months equivalent to $33m an hour.
If you want to own property buy condo or buy land but do it the right way and marry a good woman or man. You gonna pass it on to your sons and daughters anyway so who cares. Make babies, plant flag and hold down your land with your wife. If you marry a bar girl and she leaves you, you cannot blame Thailand. You lost your virginity and felt in love with your first warm cherries pie and then it's on you. Bar girls slept with 10,000 dudes by the time she retires at ripe age of 30. I get some people don't care about body count as long as no STD but generally they are harder to bond with. Think about it, would you hire someone to manage your business who leaves his job every week for a new job on his resume? No loyalty. They will run and find another sucker. Don't blame anyone but yourself.
2) Thailand has CONSCRIPTION aka ALL MEN MUST SERVE.
United States has VETERAN DISCOUNTS almost everywhere and has PX for active duty services and VET only electronic stores and booze and cigarettes no tax. Memorial days discounts and perks. Wear a dress Blue??? Free meals all day.
A group of Marine got on the same boat with me and my buddies from Long Beach to Catalina island fishing for scorpion fish. We paid $100 each for 4 hours fishing. Marines all paid 25% less than us due to military discount. I AM PERFECTLY FINE WITH THAT. They served, gave up few years of their youth for service. GOOD FOR THEM HOORAH.
Many average male in Thailand including your sons has to serve unless u hide him from Thailand until he is 30 years old. Many of them also has to be a monk one season for "GrAnDPaRenTz GoeS To HeavEn FamILy HappY" My point is they don't just get the perks. They have to serve 2 years guarding Cambodian, Laos, Burma, and Malaysia boarder and has to be a monk too. I AM ABSOLUTELY OKAY WITH PAYING 100 BAHT AKA 3 BUCKS to enter National Parks and Somchai can pay 30 BAHT aka 1 DOLLARS. I did not serve. My GDP is higher. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH PAYING FARANG PRICE.
The Thais are not racists but are weeding out unorganized grab-asstic Cheap Charlies and sociopath takers who pack the attitude to be confrontational in their beloved Thailand. If you can't save up 800k BAHT aka 27k USD, you have no business leaching and retiring in other countries that you didn't put into the system.
People who qualify to retired in Thailand TODAY has a lot higher quality of life than the former Thailand of 20 years ago.
Seems like many Farang with Asian wife in particular ran from Neo-Liberalism-Bigbrother-nopersonalfreedom politics with high tax high rental costs and high divorce rate in the west. So why try to make Thailand Democracy like your home you ran from? Which eventually becomes high propety tax like California. Stay out of politics. Everytime USA bring Democracy, someone gets bombed. You're a guest go fix your home.
Old people can't even afford medicare copays and rent off SSA. What kind of society just let their elder dies in massive body count during COVID19 in USA hospice. Thais cares way more about old people and even bow to them and answer KRUP OR KRA after every sentence.
CHUCKIE AND PAIGE from NOTIME2BESAD just paid 1k PER YEAR for PPO INSURANCE in THAILAND. Thai doctors can make a dude turn to hot ladyboy. Your tumor or nose job is nothing. Them surgeons working in King's hospital are mostly Farang and or Western Medical Educated Thais and only cost a fraction of the US pricing. Retired at 50 years old no need to work hard all your life to 70 years old and break health to make money, then the spent the made money to save health.

COVID-19 Transit Impacts in US/Canada for 2020-05-18

😷 Wear a mask as you're coming back. I'm posting these with a historical intent. Links where possible, and let me know if your local is missing.
NOTE: MOST AGENCIES ARE ASKING FOR ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY -- MEDICAL AND SUPPLY RUNS, JOB TRANSIT FOR THOSE WHO PROVIDE THOSE SERVICES. STAY HOME! EXPECT DELAYS AS THEY RUN CRITICALLY LOW ON STAFF.
Many agencies are requiring you wear a mask. Most ask you board from the back, and are putting limits on passenger boarding. Mask requirements are marked with "⚠️" and are because of state orders.
If the agency has a pass app, please pay for the ride through it -- it helps the agency!
